With the onset of the digital era, a new trend known as the video era is emerging. Videos have entered the fabric of our daily lives through channels such as YouTube, Vimeo, and SNS. What about the field of architectural videos? Having been accustomed to the traditional forms of presentation of architecture, such as text, floor plans, and photos, our eyes are now turning towards architectural videos that can present both aspects of ‘space and time’ simultaneously. How far have architectural videos developed, and how will the method of recording and disseminating architecture be affected by this development?
In this feature article, we observe the potential of architectural videos in our evolving cultural and technological landscape, and interview individuals who are currently producing architectural videos.
