Under the vision of ‘Building Better for People and the Planet’, Saint-Gobain Isover Korea develops, manufactures, and supplies a wide range of insulation solutions designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, enhance fire safety, and create more comfortable indoor environments. In response to increasingly stringent building regulations and evolving market demands, the company also introduces innovative products that improve ease of installation and user convenience.

Isover is Saint-Gobain Group’s flagship insulation brand and a global leader in insulation, offering a diverse range of solutions for the building and industrial sectors. Since its establishment in 1937, the brand has amassed nearly a century’s worth of technical expertise and experience. More than simply a supplier of insulation materials, Isover serves as a technical partner to building owners, architectural firms, contractors, and industrial clients, providing professional support throughout the entire project lifecycle, from the initial design stage and product selection to installation and post-installation technical support. Guided by customer-focused partnerships, continuous innovation, proven performance, and sustainability for people and the planet. Today, Isover operates in more than 100 countries worldwide, with over 60 manufacturing facilities. Saint-Gobain Isover Korea, the brand’s Korean subsidiary, has been manufacturing glass wool insulation in Korea since 1986. Based primarily at its Dangjin plant, the company supplies approximately 30,000 tonnes of high-performance insulation solutions annually to the domestic building and industrial markets.

Insulation materials are essential components that determine a building’s performance behind the scenes. They reduce energy loss, improve heating and cooling efficiency, and help lower CO2 emissions while creating safe and comfortable indoor environments. Glass wool, one of Isover’s core products, is manufactured using natural sand and recycled glass and offers excellent thermal insulation, sound absorption, and non-combustibility. Through continuous research and development, Saint-Gobain Isover Korea also leads the market with a variety of innovative products and system solutions. These include WeatherProof/WeatherProof BLACK, exterior insulation systems offering high thermal performance and non-combustibility; the Weldless Façade System, which combines fire safety with installation efficiency; SafeBoard VP, a non-combustible, moisture-resistant interior finishing board developed in response to the revised Building Act requiring non-combustible materials in underground parking garages; and MicroDuct, Korea’s first duct system integrated with glass wool insulation.

Saint-Gobain Isover Korea is also pursuing a range of initiatives to foster a more sustainable built environment. The company has obtained various domestic and international environmental certifications, including Certification on Eco-Label and low-carbon product certification, and launched the industry’s first green building certification catalogue. Through a multifaceted approach that includes expanding the use of recycled glass in its manufacturing processes, the company strengthens its corporate competitiveness while contributing to environmental protection. In a first for the Isover brand, Saint-Gobain Isover Korea has increased the proportion of recycled glass used in its products to 95%.

Looking ahead, Saint-Gobain Isover Korea aims to continue developing new building solutions through ongoing innovation and help shape the future of Korea’s construction industry, guided by the Saint-Gobain Group’s purpose: ‘Making the World a Better Home’.
